Huda Zoghbi is Professor of Pediatrics, Molecular and Human Genetics, Neuroscience and Neurology at Baylor. College of Medicine in Houston (USA). She has made major scientific advances in MECP2 gene duplication syndrome and Rett syndrome, and has received a number of prestigious awards for her research. Prof. Zoghbi's work gives hope that in the near future a treatment will be available for children suffering from MDS or Rett syndrome.
On 1 February, Professor Huda Zoghbi will be giving a lecture in Leuven (Belgium) on her current research into rare neurological diseases. The lecture will be given in English and broadcast live. The lecture will be accessible via www.livestream.kuleuven.be.
