Race for Rare Diseases 2025

We are proud to be one of the 11 new rare disease associations from Germany and Austria that have joined the RARE DISEASES RUN!

The RARE DISEASES RUN is Europe's largest virtual running event for rare diseases, with over 4,000 participants in 2024, and we are proud to be one of the 11 new rare disease associations from Germany and Austria to join the RARE DISEASES RUN!

From February 25 to March 2, you have the opportunity to be part of the 4th Rare Diseases Run - a virtual running event to celebrate Rare Disease Day. Anyone can take part! You don't have to be a professional athlete to join - run or walk, every step counts for a good cause. You can choose your own distance to show your support.

Every kilometer run collects donations and supports 33 organizations working for rare diseases - including DupMECP2. The participation fee is distributed fairly among all participating organizations.

You also have the opportunity to select a specific organization and support it directly with a donation.

This is how you can take part:

Registration costs from €10 and is possible until February 23, 2025. You can either register online (with a printable certificate) or opt for an additional package with a medal and a T-shirt. You specify your desired distance (500 m to marathon) and decide whether you want to run or walk.

When you register, don't forget :

• Enter “DupMECP2” under “Organization/Association”!
• You can allocate your donation to a specific organization - including DupMECP2!
