She has made major scientific advances in MECP2 gene duplication syndrome and Rett syndrome, and has received a number of prestigious awards for her research. Prof. Zoghbi's work gives hope that in the near future a treatment will be available for children suffering from MDS or Rett syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>On 1 February, Professor Huda Zoghbi will be giving a lecture in Leuven (Belgium) on her current research into rare neurological diseases. The lecture will be given in English and broadcast live.
