RARE DISEASES RUN 2025

We are proud to be one of the 11 new associations and patients advocacy groups in the field of rare diseases from Germany and Austria that will join the RARE DISEASES RUN in 2025!

The RARE DISEASES RUN is Europe’s largest virtual running event for rare diseases, with over 4,000 participants in 2024.

From the 25th of February to the 2nd of March, take the chance to participate in the 4th Rare Diseases Run – a virtual event – to celebrate Rare Disease Day. Everyone can participate. You don’t have to be a professional athlete to join; anyone can run for a good cause. You can choose your distance and show your support.

Every kilometer helps raise funds and supports 33 organizations advocating for rare diseases, united behind the Rare Disease Run. The costs for participation will be evenly distributed among these organizations.

As an option, you can even choose a specific association that you would like to support with a donation.

Here is how you can participate:

Registration has a cost starting at 10€ and it’s open until February 23rd, 2025. You can choose between a simple online registration (with a printable certificate) or opt for additional perks like a medal and a T-shirt. You can choose your distance (500 m – to marathon) and how you would like to join (run or walk).

While doing your registration, please don’t forget:

• To write ‘DupMECP2’ under “Organisation/Verein”
• You can choose to donate to a specific association, including our own!
