Aujourd&rsquo;hui, nous allons explorer l&rsquo;\u00e9tude de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution naturelle d\u00b4une maladie (Natural History Studies, NHS) et son importance dans le contexte des maladies rares, avec un accent particulier sur le syndrome de duplication du g\u00e8ne MECP2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u00c9tude de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution naturelle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude de l\u2019\u00e9volution naturelle est un type d&rsquo;\u00e9tude d&rsquo;observation qui suit dans le temps un groupe de personnes atteintes ou risquant d&rsquo;\u00eatre atteintes d&rsquo;une maladie sp\u00e9cifique. L&rsquo;objectif de cette \u00e9tude est d&rsquo;identifier les variables d\u00e9mographiques, g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques, environnementales et autres qui sont en corr\u00e9lation avec la maladie et ses cons\u00e9quences. Dans le contexte des maladies rares, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude de l\u2019\u00e9volution naturelle est particuli\u00e8rement importante. Ces maladies pr\u00e9sentent souvent un niveau \u00e9lev\u00e9 de variabilit\u00e9 dans les sympt\u00f4mes, l&rsquo;\u00e9volution et les r\u00e9sultats. En \u00e9tudiant l'\u00a0\u00bb\u00e9volution naturelle\u00a0\u00bb de ces maladies, sans administration de m\u00e9dicament, les chercheurs peuvent obtenir des informations pr\u00e9cieuses sur la mani\u00e8re dont elles se d\u00e9veloppent et progressent au fil du temps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u00c9tude de l\u00b4\u00e9volution naturelle dans le contexte du syndrome de duplication du g\u00e8ne MECP2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une \u00e9tude de l\u2019\u00e9volution naturelle du syndrome de duplication du g\u00e8ne MECP2 a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e le 3 octobre et pr\u00e9voit de recruter 40 participants exclusivement aux \u00c9tats-Unis pendant deux ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude est intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0A Prospective and Retrospective Observational\/Non-interventional Study to Characterize Biomarkers and Disease Progression in Patients with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome\u00a0\u00bb (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier : NCT06014541).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude vise \u00e0 recueillir des biomarqueurs liquides (LCR &#8211; Liquide C\u00e9phalo-Rachidien et sang), des \u00e9valuations \u00e9lectrophysiologiques (\u00e9lectroenc\u00e9phalogramme [EEG], potentiels \u00e9voqu\u00e9s [PE], pupillom\u00e9trie), des \u00e9valuations cliniques et des mesures de r\u00e9sultats rapport\u00e9s par les soignants. La dur\u00e9e de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude pour chaque participant sera d&rsquo;environ 110 semaines. Il est important de noter que les participants \u00e0 cette \u00e9tude peuvent \u00e9galement participer \u00e0 une \u00e9tude interventionnelle potentielle qui chevaucherait l&rsquo;actuelle NHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;objectif principal de cette \u00e9tude est de mieux comprendre l\u2019\u00e9volution naturelle du syndrome de duplication du g\u00e8ne MECP2 et d&rsquo;identifier des biomarqueurs potentiels qui pourraient \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s dans le d\u00e9veloppement de th\u00e9rapies. En rassemblant des informations sur les caract\u00e9ristiques cliniques, l&rsquo;\u00e9volution du d\u00e9veloppement et les facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques de cette maladie, les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent obtenir des informations qui contribueront au d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux traitements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Studio dell'evoluzione naturale e studio interventistico<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que l\u00b4\u00e9tude de l\u2019\u00e9volution naturelle observe et enregistre la progression d&rsquo;une maladie sans intervenir, l\u00b4\u00e9tude interventionnelle est diff\u00e9rente. Dans une \u00e9tude interventionnelle, les participants re\u00e7oivent des interventions sp\u00e9cifiques selon un protocole de recherche cr\u00e9\u00e9 par les investigateurs. Ces interventions peuvent \u00eatre conduites au moyen de produits m\u00e9dicaux, tels que des m\u00e9dicaments ou des appareils.
