A moving weekend for a good cause at the Ober St. Veit festival!

The Ober St. Veiter Grätzlfest is a moving family event held on 24 and 25 May 2024 in the Ober St. Veit district of Vienna (Austria). Organised by the local merchants' association, the Kaufleute Ober St. VeitIt brought local residents together for two unforgettable days of fun, connection and generosity.

The festival offered a fantastic programme designed for families, including a magician who amazed spectators of all ages, games and a lively tombola. This year, the raffle was even more special. All the proceeds - an impressive total of 2800 euroswere donated to our association.

We were proud to take part in this event. It gave us a wonderful opportunity to explain MECP2 gene duplication syndrome and to highlight the challenges that families affected by this syndrome face every day.

Visitors were able to meet and chat with our co-presidents and founders, Caroline and David Covini, and their son Matteo at our stand. It was a moving experience to see so many people taking an interest in our cause, and supporting our mission to find a cure.

We are deeply grateful to the "Kaufleute Ober St. Veit for organising such a wonderful event and for their generous donation. Thanks to their efforts and the enthusiasm of the local community, Grätzlfest was not only a joyful family gathering, but also an important step in raising awareness and supporting research into the syndrome.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, tried their luck in the raffle and helped make a difference for MECP2 gene duplication syndrome!
