Dear readers,
Today I would like to tell you about our positive experience at the Adeli Therapy in Slovakia. My 3-year-old son Jan spent two intensive weeks there, which were both challenging and very rewarding. My husband Borislav and I took it in turns to look after him: During the first week I, Ana, was there while Borislav was at home with our 6-year-old son Theo. In the second week, Borislav took over while I stayed at home.
Jan suffers from muscular hypotonia, which means that it is difficult for him to learn to walk. Adeli therapy, which was specially developed for children with neurological and motor problems, has helped him well. The centrepiece of the therapy is the Adeli suit, which has helped Jan to strengthen his muscles and take important steps towards walking. The suit exerts targeted pressure on the muscles and thus supports the movement sequences that Jan has to learn.
But Adeli therapy involves much more than just this special suit. Jan also received magnetic therapy, oxygen therapy, massages and speech therapy, to name just a few of the many therapies. The tight schedule was a challenge, but the therapists always tried to keep the children’s spirits up and motivate them. Every little success was celebrated, which gave Jan enormous encouragement.
What particularly impressed us was the intensive care. Three therapists were available for each child – a luxury that I have never experienced before in Austria. This personalised and intensive care helped Jan to pass the two-week intensive therapy brilliantly. Of course, there were also tough moments and some tears fell, but the dedication and care of the therapists made a big difference.
We felt very comfortable right from the start. The therapists and the whole team created a professional and supportive atmosphere. It was gratifying to see how Jan coped with the therapies. In addition to his physical progress, he has also gained in self-confidence.
This experience was very valuable for us. We are grateful for the opportunity to have taken advantage of Adeli therapy and the small progress Jan has made gives us hope for the future.
Conclusion:
I can warmly recommend this therapy. Adeli Therapy in Slovakia offers comprehensive and effective support for children with neurological and motor problems. The intensive care, the dedicated team and the diverse therapeutic approaches have helped Jan noticeably. We are very satisfied with the whole experience.
Yours sincerely
Ana Curic (Jan’s mum)
